Auch wenn die EU-skeptische, rechtspopulistische UK Independence Party, kurz UKIP, laut Umfragen in Großbritannien faktisch keine Rolle mehr spielt – derzeit liegt sei bei unter 1 % –, soll an dieser Stelle der kürzlich vorgenommene Logowechsel dokumentiert werden. Das Pfund-Zeichen wird hierbei durch eine Kreuzsymbolik abgelöst, welche nicht nur in Großbritannien starke Assoziationen mit Deutschland weckt.
