one thing nobody ever talks about regarding being an adult, is how much time you debate yourself on keeping a cardboard box because it is a really, really good box
The title of my next book will be WHY DO PEOPLE ALWAYS HAVE TO BE LIKE THIS ABOUT NEW TECHNOLOGY?

Todas las redes cuentan una historia

Since this has become my social media space to complain… I’m positive for COVID for the first time. Coincidentally this happened the week after my campus lifted the classroom mask mandate. Strange that. 😷

Fortunately I’ve had all possible shots and my spouse is still negative.

BOSS: I need you to put these coupon stickers on all the Pick Me Up boxes

Bad thing: about 25% of the time my reaction to the shots is severe enough to require drugs that trash that day and the next.

Today was our first conversation, a deep dive into the history and technical aspects of AI, from Eliza to deep learning and LLMs. Our conversation raised a lot of questions for future exploration, particularly around the ethics of AI.

@aspiringcat So true. And it’s such a terrible excuse “I can’t go for a walk because my not-quite-little toe on my left foot has an invisible injury.”

@aspiringcat Thank you. It’s ridiculous. I swear I recovered faster from abdominal surgery. 😆

Also — my experience — post phd, life is better. Even with being on the job market for several years.
