On our 310th Berkeley South Asian Radical History Walking Tour tour, we intersected with the #NoKings protests.

This is us with a sign honoring South Asians facing targeting, detentions, and deportations, including…

• Bibi Harjit Kaur: A 73-year-old Sikh Bay Area grandmother deported after over a decade of routine ICE check-ins despite strong community ties

Happy 🇮🇳🇵🇰 independence days!

August 14-15, 1947 meant the liberation of 400 million South Asians from colonial rule.

I found this lovely article about Indian and Pakistani students celebrating that moment together in 1947 at UC Berkeley’s International House.

Opening weekend of our new San Francisco South Asian Radical History Walking Tour was better than we could have imagined.

We ran four lovely, emotional sold-out tours over two days, operating on love and adrenaline. People came from as close by as the neighborhood, and as far away as Amsterdam. (1/4)

My dad and I spent the afternoon together at a #NoKings protest, holding a little flag and a hand-me-down “resist” sign, and surrounded by thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds. Moments like this make me feel so grounded. It’ll be hard, but we’re going to get through this.

It’s not surprising that there are a thousand (?) people at the Berkeley, California #TeslaTakedown protests, including so many old friends.

But across the country, deep in the suburbs, people are finding each other and building networks at Tesla dealerships.

*That’s* what we’ll need to get through some of this.

This is the most amazing tweet ever: Dinesh Dsouza desperately trying to prove his racist cred to racists criticizing his son-in-law, a GOP politician from Texas.

I’m the Indian in the photo, and I’ve written against multiculturalism and in defense of Western civilization for 30 years. My daughter was born in Virginia, grew up in San Diego and met Brandon at Dartmouth. He is now the youngest GOP congressman and endorsed by Trump.

This is wild. The South Asian Bar Association just showed us what they really value. There are bad takes—and then there’s this.

RIP #DonaldShoup.

In 2014, I got a chance to give Donald Shoup a copy of the Shoupista valentine's day card that @barnali and I made.

He laughed, and it totally made my week. Here's the card.
