I got tired of the trial and error approach and found a post on Thingiverse with some Python that generates an STL file that fit really ok, so I converted it into an OpenSCAD script with the help of some AI and after fiddling with the fitting, I was able to work out an absolutely rock solid thread. This fits PERFECTLY.

I hated how bad this thing looked once I got it into the slicer so I tried splitting it up and still am very unsatisfied. Since we love Ball jars in this house, I have decided that I am going to work out my own modular Ball jar system. The first piece, the most critical, is going to be the jar mount. I have included a glue slot and the whole thing can be printed upside down without supports!

I printed a few of these as gifts and then just kept printing them with matching dice for portable Farkle and beyond.

I hate how the latch works so there's a future where I model something like this myself, but for now these guys are nearly perfect.

I have no idea why so many designers don't incorporate more permanent hardware. This takes two #6 screws with a tapered head. No clamps, or anything on top of the desk.

I finally got around to using my Elegoo rollers and made one of Amao-Chan's free automatas. I made the mistake of printing the gears at .24mm layer height instead of the recommended .20 and it was a disaster so I reprinted them at .18mm and the action is much smoother.

Finished the initial design of my T-Deck case. I already need to make some changes so I can add in the missing GPS module, so I will add a bump next to the antenna bump. For the Plus, I will have to figure out a way to cram it in there.
