Half-formed thought on #accessibility: So many resources arer for the simplest stuff - like use real text or use buttons instead of divs - the bar is so low.

How do we raise the bar if we can't get people off the basics?

I don't have answers. Just been rattling around in my head.

Even though I backed #Tapestry by the @Iconfactory on #Kickstarter, I just subscribed through the #Apple #AppStore. Their apps are always so #accessible with VoiceOver on Apple devices. I love backing developers that care that much about #accessibility.
Every time I think my blog's CSS is getting overcomplicated, work shows me what real complication looks like. O_O
I can’t seem to get the order of load events to line up so that my site doesn’t start in light mode and then switch to dark. It’s a little disorienting.

Ope - forgot that iOS VoiceOver would ignore elements with 0x0 pixels in size in some cases. So my dark/light theme toggle was occasionally skipped.

Fixed that.

There seems to be some infection of "get off social media/reset my brain" going around the online circles I watch.

Mine started with @Daojoan. How about you?

Watching Dimension 20 is just making me want to run a table top game again.

Last day of vacation today and I'm a little anxious going back to work. But this is more about the brain reset day 3 than that.

Got'em!

Portrait of the Man as an Artist

“People use AI to code and the outcome is shit so we need to improve AI” is such a weird take. Just do not use “AI” and do stuff yourself and you’ll see how much you learn and how independent you’ll get.

The goal of “AI” coding tools is to show you code that you don’t identify as wrong. That’s the successful case for it. It doesn’t matter if the code is wrong – there is no way for an LLM to test that. (1/2)

Ugh. From now on when I read "LLM," I'm gonna interpret that to mean "Lame-ass Lying Machine."

It's as stupid a term as "AI," which we all know means "Automated Idiot."
