@nat a couple years ago i read "why does he do that" (nonfiction about abusive male partners) and "how fascism works" back to back (coincidentally, no particular reason why) and it blew my mind how the manipulation tactics used by patriarchal men apply on both the micro and macro levels in eerily similar ways
