When I see ‘how to do X on mastodon’ posts I’m finding it extraordinarily difficult to distinguish parody/in jokes from reality.

A particular favourite was this letter, written on paper embellished with distributions and plots. Someone needs to sell notepaper like this:)

I found an incredibly lovely thing in my snail mail today. Letters from Ajay Koli and students about one of my books. I get nice emails a lot, but there’s something really touching about the effort and care to write a letter and post it across the world. I feel very honoured by their kind words.
