I like interesting facts and podcasts.

I'm most interested in software development and cosmology.

A blast from the past: found my Evernote account from early 2010s that I forgot about. The only thing I remember was that the native Windows app was very slow on my PC back then.

Anyway, here's the list of software that I used when reinstalling Microsoft Windows around 2010. I don't remember that the second column was about. CD is clear. "i" probably means that it was installed the last time I used the checklist

European Central Bank has announced a contest for the next design of Euro banknotes. https://www.ecb.europa.eu/press/pr/date/2025/html/ecb.pr250715~39f757470b.en.html

"two themes proposed for the future
euro banknotes:
- Theme 1: European culture and associated stories and motifs
- Theme 2: Rivers and birds and associated stories and motifs"

Out of curiosity, I looked at the "contest notice". It has the theme 2 as LOT-0001 and theme 1 as LOT-0002.

In #Firefox, type %<space> in the address bar for search in Tabs. ^ searches History.
Mnemonic: these two are aligned on the keyboard with the first letter.

* = ⭐ = search in Bookmarks is a more obvious visual reference

I've learned about the conic sections in seventh grade, but only today did I pay enough attention to notice a parabola on the wall and an ellipse on the ceiling caused by a literal light cone (not the space-time kind) from a lamp.

Do geometry teachers use lamps like this? I don't think mine did.

Though it's also possible that I just forgot that I noticed it before.

I've made a YouTube playlist playback tracker: https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/459412-youtube-playlists-playback-tracker

It remembers which video you've watched last in a playlist, so that you don't have to!

It is useful for podcasts, lectures, let's plays, and any kind of long-form content in playlists.

YouTube: playlists playback tracker

This script helps watching playlists. It tracks the last video from a playlist that you've watched on this computer.

So far, the best personal use case for #ChatGPT that I found is convincing myself to do beneficial things. It is sometimes hard to convince myself not to procrastinate but reading it from an external source somehow works better. For example, today:
