Three types of r/arduino posts:
------------
*blurry photo of the corner of a breadboard and a few wires*
"What went wrong?"

"...Can you provide some more information?"

"It's not working."
------------
*Video of an LED coming on at a handwave because of a floating pin*
"I think I just invented magic!"
-----------
*Photo of a starter kit*
"What's this I just bought?"

120% tariffs, in someone's mind:

You buy a fancy bowling ball from China for 100 bucks. The seller then has gnash their teeth, sit at a desk and fill in a W2-TD120 form, then wire 120 bucks back to the US IRS. The seller can't even do anything about it because they're afraid of getting strong-armed by the US IRS troops! And if the seller tries to raise the price to 200 bucks then they'll just lose 40 bucks on the sale instead, along with the goods! They have been completely outsmarted.

Hmm... a way to get around the adult game payment rug pull happening might be to sell a scrubbed version of the game and just offer the adult content as an "unofficial free mod" on a trusted external site.

Reading the (obscure) 1983 Other Worlds furry RPG. It's very... "Humanity, Fuck No!" Humans are even getting bullied by the furries (furlings?) in a couple of the illustrations... From what I've seen, intentionally furry RPGs tend to get rid of humans altogether so it's interesting to see this kind of inclusion.

The available species include some odd choices like a lizard morphing into a giant crab.

The rules might be a variant of the Chaosium RuneQuest/BRP D100 system.

One of my D6es just froze standing on a corner without any other support. But it fell once I made a move to get the camera so I don't have anything to post to r/mildlyinteresting

I don't know how DQ plays... it appears to be a quite early TTRPG with... insistences.
You need GM permission to play the opposite sex.
Want to play a non-human? Roll to succeed. Fail and you're a human. Waap-waap.
Hex tile combat ohboy! Great now everyone count your hex tiles it's board game time!
No world building--maybe you're on a different planet maaan. No wait- the bestiary is just generic fantasy and animal stuff :/

System appears to be D10 and D100.

I found a copy of DragonQuest over at archive.org - No, not the famicom game, but the 1982 TTRPG by SPI which (afaik) made DQ become Dragon Warrior due to the name collision.

Someone had converted it into a .doc which Libre Office could load. Doesn't look very complete though--the bestiary is super generic and mostly just a list of fantasy monster names without stats or pics.

SPI went under in 1982 when TSR called for a pound of flesh. They had DnD so I doubt DQ got much attention after that.

MS Office persisting gotta be due to just momentum and habit at this point (W11 365 dark patterns and obfuscated file format shenanigans aside). I don't think Libre Office is missing anything that a casual user might want, like make a household spreadsheet, type up a greetings card, etc.

Some things in Firefox's about:config that you might want to change:
-----------------
suggest
(browser.search.suggest.enabled)

When you type an URL ff now won't suggest products and the dropdown looks cleaner. e.g. if I type "war" it will show me a site I have visited like warhammer.com rather than four warthings.

ml

These are various machine learning poops you might not want.

I also disabled cache.disk to reduce drive erosion. Unsure about effect tho.

My blender malfunctioned and when I tried to open it up I found the strangest thing: The bottom plate had four screws--all identical philips- no, wait, one of them was a triangle security screw. Whyy? It doesn't make any sense.

It meant they had to change assembly tool and slightly increase costs. I really got the feeling they did it just to annoy people. Or maybe it was because of regulations? No bulk caps inside tho--just a motor.

Had to cold-smith a nail into a custom screwdriver head.
