It's kind of funny, how the publication cant link two things together.
Sometimes I read the economist, and just admire the unabashed wholeheartedly austrian school of thought.
Like: trump has weakened tax enforcement, so it's expected that more people will cheat on their taxes, thus providing smaller tax revenue, thus boosting the economy.
David Chisnall (*Now with 50% more sarcasm!*)Most of the harms related to teens accessing these sites come from the engagement-at-all-costs models that drive algorithmic content presentation. This, in turn, is driven by the need to fund these sites with advertising.
A ban on all advertising (in any medium) targeting under 16s would probably do a much better job.
Tindra@mhoye it’s also sad the number of service members who dont realize they’re the only people who get to have socialism. (Seriously, when I was still in I had lots of peers whose version of “kids these days” included such gems as “UGH they think this is a jobs program, not something they take pride in”. Yeah my dude, it IS a jobs program, and an amazingly successful one at that! It’s why I’m working in tech, not a factory or retail. Also, I’d love to see data on birth rates among military families vs civilians the last decade or so, because it’s amazing the different decisions you make when you know health care is taken care of)
