It’s alive!

And absolutely glorious in print. 📖

@pietrocastelli, @caterinafroio and I have a new article out in the Journal of European Public Policy on far-right contentious politics. We tackle nativist mobilisation in the protest arena and its relationship with crisis adopting short- and long-term perspectives.

Instead of simply adapting to the recent crises, there are signs pointing to broader changes instigated by the European far right and its increasingly successful attempt at penetrating civil society.

💥 ‘Movement Parties of the Far Right’ is out 31 October 2024 on Oxford University Press!

@pietrocastelli and I are very pleased with the result and grateful for the early praise received. Hope you enjoy reading it—we look forward to hearing your thoughts!

✍️ I wrote this short piece—published today in Political Communication—outlining the evolution of the contemporary far right from opposition to control, and from counter-hegemonic to hegemonic force. Here I also discuss ongoing challenges for far-right research.
