On November 25, at the urging of a far-right troll, Elon Musk banned the @CrimethInc Twitter account.

Musk’s goal in acquiring Twitter had nothing to do with “free speech”—it was a partisan move to silence opposition, paving the way for fascist violence.

Es ist unglaublich. Nach und nach trudeln hier all die alten vertrauten Gesichter – also: Avatare – ein, deren Tweets ich früher oft gemocht und gern gelesen habe, die aber mit der Zeit immer mehr vom Algorithmus versteckt wurden. Es fand schleichend statt und irgendwie habe ich es nicht gemerkt.

Is there talk about changing the terminology from
•whitelist/blacklist to
•inclusion list/exclusion list or
•in list/out list?

This seems like one of those structural changes that could have meaning as we discuss things like this. We don't have to keep reinforcing to society that a white list is a good list and a black list is a bad list... or that we believe those ideas... or that we want to reinforce them. Each use reinforces.
