Military analyst at the Royal Danish Defence College. Doing a PhD at the Technical University of Denmark about the implications of social media on warfare.
I make videos on YouTube about war, conflict, Russia – at the moment mostly the war in Ukraine. Author of "Krigens Logik" and "Krigens Politik" and host of "Krigskunst Podcast".

I often ask myself "What the hell? Why aren't the #Russians protesting all this shit?" As a westerner, this apparent disregard is really difficult to grasp. @anderspuck talks about three theories and speculate what could trigger a potential revolt. Good stuff!

We need to move beyond the discussion about security guarantees to Ukraine. For their own security, European NATO members should pursue a real alliance. In this video, I explain why Ukraine is so important for European security and the ability to deter Russian aggression.

An excellent video as usual on why #Europe really needs #Ukraine for defence from @anderspuck - and if you want to hear what Ukrainian #PolarScience can do for and with us in #Antarctica, we are organising a showcase in Brussels at the natural history museum on 11th September.

Fidesz' massive defeat comes despite:
- multiple active Russian disinformation campaigns
- the US government actively supporting Fidesz
- Fidesz owning the majority of TV & radio stations + newspapers
- Fidesz having gerrymandered the crap out of the country
- many documented cases of voter suppression & paying disinfrenchised voters for support
- Fidesz pouring unprecedented $$$ into their campaign

Feeling a little proud of my country for the first time in a while 🇭🇺

Could you imagine living in 1969? Sending astronauts to the moon. Fighting a useless war and the president is a crook.

Just noting, for the benefit of people who are pointing out that Hungary's PM-elect isn't some sort of progressive saint:

1. Yeah, his party is centre-right, but it's also the furthest left of the parties with seats in the new parliament.

2. Winning a two-thirds majority in a system designed to disadvantage opposition parties is a seismic shift.

3. Look back over the last century-and-a-bit of Hungarian history and you'll see the red-rag Left doing many horrible things which have not been forgotten. You'll also see the interwar fascism of the Horthy "regency" and maybe you'll agree that Hungary can have a bit of near-centrism, as a treat.

So, this is where us outsiders sit back and shut up and watch as an antidemocratic system is brought back to something resembling normality.
