@smveerman Natuurlijk niet! Het is bedoeld als betekenisloos gebaar, niet als werkelijke compensatie.
@smveerman But 'not really usable' is sooo much better than 'not usable at all'. (And for the countries that do build them - Switzerland - I found them a joy to use with trolleys as well. Traveling with a bike or with kids. Elevators are slow if multiple people need them.)
@smveerman Yes, but going back to the original point: they can't handle the elevators. So keep the incline as a backup, or construct a better incline. (If they keep up a SLA of 99,9 on all elevators for an extended period of time then maybe they can have a chance of having that as a primary option. We failed that as society.)
@smveerman The incline is not replaced by elevators though, but converted into steps/escalator. Which means it's taking away a fallback option. To be fair: this incline isn't up to date but good, shallow inclines should be planned on all new stations anyway. Yeah, they take space. But they don't suffer from power failures.
@smveerman Prorail/NS should keep the inclines, they can't handle the elevators.
