Voter intimidation could also help explain lower Democratic turnout this election.

Can no longer listen to #HackingHumans podcast. App says “episode not available”. Tried with and without VPN and having rebooted phone. *shrugs*
@mooncake I recently read “The Grapes of Wrath” for the first time, and it felt so eerily current…

My credit score dropped when I paid off my car.

My credit score dropped when I paid off my student loans.

Credit reporting agencies told me: "You should get more loans to increase your credit score."

The system punishes you for not owing them money.

They want you to be in debt.

Credit scoring is one of the biggest scams.

A similar issue can be found in some airports where the auto soap dispenser is placed so close to the water flow that you have to be really careful while rinsing your hands to avoid dispensing more soap onto them.
@elliots It’s human nature to overreact to new technologies. 25 deaths from human drivers, but it’s a familiar danger. 1 bicycle accident that the cyclist walks away from and people are like “OMG! Waymo is completely irresponsible!!!” I’m not saying all driverless car tech is good or safe. Our Tesla is awful. But the one time I rode in a Waymo was better than 90% of the Uber rides I’ve had.
@elliots As I read the description of the accident, I was thinking, “a human driver would have done the same or worse.” The last paragraph of the article sums it up for me.
@HeatherFromTexas @JessTheUnstill @Adam_Cadmon1 @maggiemaybe We saw something like that on the documents for a house in Piedmont, CA! There was an easement for a shared driveway, but it had a clause that said the easement would be null and void if the house was ever rented to blacks or asians. It was from 1930 or something, but we were like “Jeezus!”
