Human flourishing has always depended on how much tech you keep (out), even when tech can help.
Eg: You can fly a plane over Mount Everest, but when mountaineering, you *choose* not to fly.
With #AI, a lot more of human flourishing will depend on how much power you have to make such choices -- what tech to keep, what tech to ban, for whom, and why.
In an equal world, such choice is liberating. In an unequal world like ours, such power will lie only with the elites.
Pink Begonias
Jan grew a bunch of these one summer. They were near the middle of the yard so I'd walk past them often and if I had my camera, I'd always stop to take some pictures. They were my favorites that year.
I liked them better than the scarlet begonias that were growing nearby.
