Finally a clean way to rapidly re-start everything other than the #Linux kernel… for me, it is extremely useful to be able to do that after applying desktop & graphics stack updates, and to be able to log back in within 10 seconds.

Throwing the idea out here: it would be very nice if someone figured out a way to write a #GNOMEShell extension to provide "Soft reboot" as an alternative to cold reboot!

• Bart kwam helemaal uit Den Haag met een Raspberry 500, in een keyboard gebouwd. Wij installeerden Pi OS.
• Marcel had een corrupte Grub, en kon nog maar met veel toetsengeweld booten. Wij hebben de grub-configuratie gefixed voor double boot met Windows.
• Annabel liet Debian Gnome installeren op de laptop die ze gekregen had.
• Frits had een laptop teveel, en schonk die aan ons. Die moeten we nog oppeppen...
• Ron had een koppeling gemaakt met OneDrive die niet goed werkte. Een luks systeem. Ik vermoedde een probleem met de encryptie-sleutels. Aangeraden opnieuw te installeren, of beter NextCloud te gebruiken
• Marjan met een Desktop met LinuxMint 16 (Heel oud!). Nieuwe installatie aangeraden, maar helaas staat /home niet in een aparte partitie. Dus eerst een backup van de data gemaakt, duurde de rest van de middag. Volgende keer verder.
• Pascale met een Microsoft Surface tablet. Debian Gnome liet zich probleemloos installeren.
• Piet (Hij was jarig!) met dezelfde Chromebook als vorige keer, maar nu waren onze Chromebook specialisten op vakantie, dus aangeboden de laptop achter te laten, zodat we het thuis verder kunnen uitzoeken.
