The #Turkey/Syria earthquake is a horrific disaster & how it is dealt with is newsworthy, but reporting the salient facts does not require immersive coverage in every bulletin. It is both traumatising & ghoulish. We do not need the full #earthquake experience.
There is a prurience about the coverage that sickens me.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the world other newsworthy happenings are being ignored.

17 January 1933 | French Jewish girl Rosa Lisoprawski was born in Paris.

She arrived at Auschwitz on 22 January 1944 in a transport of 1,155 Jews from Drancy. She was murdered in a gas chamber at the age of 11.

The thing about that is, "the British" chose no such thing.

As you know, there was an opinion poll, which BY LAW was not a decision.

After that, it all went sideways, in constitutional terms. Major decisions are made by MPs voting. They didn't vote on whether or not to leave the EU.

As the Supreme Court ruled in retrospect, Theresa May decided we would leave the EU. Did she have the constitutional authority to do that to 65 million people?

My guess is NO.

My first wild camp in 2008 on Dartmoor, it set me off on a journey that brought me to where I am today.

Camping on Dartmoor is now illegal. The courts came down on the side of the land owner yet again. Shame on everyone involved in that decision.

Time to trespass!
