I still don't like how they made the macOS sidebar feel like it floats over content. I don't want it to be translucent. It should feel like it "cuts" the main content and is a sibling of it, not an overlay.

For me, the mental model is so much simpler if they're sibling views. Making a change in selection in the sidebar completely changes what you see in the other view, so having them separate things makes more sense. It's more than an aesthetic thing; it's the user's conceptual model. #wwdc

They're really going back to the old sidebar appearance in macOS? That's a welcome surprise. #wwdc
Got new glasses with a new prescription and I had forgotten that it's possible to see individual blades of grass from 20 feet away
Nothing like starting your Saturday finding out a whole bunch of crashes happened on your app the day before and then spending 30 minutes to figure out the bug and submit a new version to be reviewed.
Just finished reading My Life In France. What a lovely little book (Julia Child autobiography). It's impressive reading how she just learned how to cook in her 30s and then years later she's co-writing a massive book about French cooking. #books

Fresh Cards, a flashcard app I've written for iOS and Mac, got a big update this week.

I'm quite proud of this as there are lots of little UX details I added to make this possibly the most usable flashcard app ever made. I've shared some of those details in the screenshots here.

Download the app at the link below. #uxdesign #ux #ios #mac

I had to submit bugfix updates to my app on iOS and macOS and this time both got picked up and moved to In Review in under 24 hours.

That's a nice surprise as I was expecting the Mac version would be sitting around for days. Instead it got picked up for review even before the iOS version. 🤔

Got some quotes for some roof and gutter cleaning and then for some work on my car and oof everything is so expensive now. I had a similar quote for some work on my car a year ago and it was 25% cheaper.
... aaaand it's Approved
Works every time: a minute within posting this it got picked up for Review.
