Against Stillness - a review of Virginia Woolf’s Orlando adapted by Jules Scheele.
I’ve just posted a review of @julesscheele graphic novel adaptation of Virginia Woolf’s Orlando — a vivid, playful and deeply human reimagining of one of the great experimental novels.
This adaptation from @averyhillpublishing captures both the spirit of Woolf and the emotional heart of Orlando itself: romantic, rebellious and gloriously alive.

Three women artists to close. Laura Marling is great despite being an aristo. Post-christian Michelle Shocked doing Disney covers, hmm. Finally Bat for Lashes, got home and realised I already had this. Doh. (3)
Next up some Gorky's - can't go wrong really. Van the Man, even his bad albums are kinda good. And Dundee/Glasgow favourites Deacon Blue - don't judge me I like this album and remember watching them play Dignity at anti-poll tax rallies. #cd #music
A visit to the Christian Aid book sale at the New Town Church in George Street. This is a huge annual sale that happens across the country but this church must be one of the biggest.
And it has CD's - £1 each. The star find was Spirit of Eden by Talk Talk. But here are some more. Starting with these two by John Tavener, beautiful music drawing on the orthodox tradition #cd #christianaid (1)
