This is what happens when you leave me alone with a tracker and some stock samples and I feel like making a silly bloopy ditty just to get back into the tracking groove after a while in modern DAWs
One day I'll do something with old tracks of mine like this one, again, tracked piano, that I made almost 20 years ago. I think with 20 years more music production experience I could really make this shine
Something has always drawn me to programming piano in trackers, it helped me overcome my inability to play things live and gave me the ability to do some fine grained sound design. This one was tracked in Psycle

An eldritch horror has posessed the screen of my phone. There is no background image, the whole screen apart from the icons is supposed to be white. Something has infected (?) the OLED and it is turning the deepest shades of purple.
Does anyone have an idea what could have realistically happened here?! I mean it's pretty  but also ... uhhh ... I was intending on using that phone, can you please not posess it?
Here's a direct comparison between what I am able to capture now and what I was able to capture before my modifications. Same 1 kHz signal at a timebase of 500µs
It went from capturing six full waves at 100 samples per wave to capturing 32 full waves at 500 samples per wave. If I adjust the timebase to match the number of full waves captured it goes up to six full waves at a whopping 2500 samples per wave
My modification has practically given me 25x the resolution I was able to capture at before

Aaand ... we have achieved high resolution data acquisition from the old used yellowed analog Rigol oscilloscope by reading out its memory instead of the low-res data from the live view.

I had to change some code in the rigol hardware module in libsigrok to make this work. Totally out of my depth, but after a few hours of tinkering it works like a charm at arbitrary timebases now. 2-channel digital signal analysis is therefore a go! I2C you can't hide from me 

this is how far I get with sigrok_cli. it works if I set data_source=Live but that's predictably low resolution
