@yaxu mmm that's what I was thinking about ! I like the model a lot ... convincing other people that it doesn't have to be dependent on merit is the difficult part :]

@yaxu I think I remember you talking about "artist grants", some system where people are given £200 (or whatever) for 3 months with no expectations (just part-funding what they were doing already)

do you have any links or documents to things that have happened? I might have the opportunity to help organise one for a community
