Whatever critiques you might have for Tekken 8, they just knocked the ARMAH KING design out of the park. For no particular lore reason I can ascertain, he comes to the Steve matchup with this incredible amount of *contempt*. When he's talking to Steve, he waits a surprising amount of time before jaguar growling in deadpan, "I will pulverize that arrogance of yours until there's nothing left."

And like, you can hear the full-stop at the end of the sentence. He's not yelling. Steve is a side dish he did not order and does not want. He does not say this to anybody else in the cast. What did Steve even do to deserve this.

I love it. What a heel move. Just hate on the enthusiastic goofball guy for no immediately obvious reason. Steve deserves it though.

Hooray Tekken 8 getting a good patch!! Hopefully they keep doing that -- if there's more nerfs in May I think we're looking at an actually great Tekken game. (maybe toning down stances and jaguar sprint and making Law and Alisa less ignorant, among others, and more heat nerfs, and can we hope for a buffed backdash? ... bigger backdash might be too much to ask for)

In any case, great work Tekken team, keep it up!!

... Neo-Geo AES+ hardware...

Maaaan I don't think I'm buying that but that's legit really cool. They're saying it's neither emulation nor an FPGA -- they just reimplemented the actual Neo-Geo hardware and put an HDMI port on it this time. Doesn't look like it connects to the internet or have usb ports for controllers (it takes the original AES controllers)... -- it's just... a Neo-Geo, with the original-style huge carts! That's commitment!
