Tekken 8: Kazuya (pocket Armor King, Nina, Reina, Heihachi)
Tekken 7: Kazuya (pocket Armor King, Kazumi, Feng, Anna)
VF5: Lau Chan, SC6: Ivy, SFV: Akuma, Strive: I-No ...
Oh I didn't say what I was playing: Tekken 8, VF5 REVO, and Mystery (singles)

Surely hopefully they'll accommodate me in Mystery by giving me PS1-era 3D games. I got a burrito for Mystery one year because they gave me Tobal #2. Do not step to a billion-year-old Tekkenist in a 3D game from the 90s.
So who's going to COMBO BREAKER and what are we playing? (feel free to flag me down and say hi; I'll be the one who looks like me, the slim-ish old guy with glasses probably fiending for matches by the Tekken setups)

I have got positive things to say about the Tekken 8 Season 3 patch!

- Changes around heat are unironically good: you lose your power-up state (Claudio/Bryan/Asuka etc's installs) when heat is over, so you can't do like heat smash into a powered-up mixup anymore -- also combos off launching heat dashes are appreciably nerfed. This is Just Good.
- Lots of top tiers got noticeable nerfs, including Nina, Anna, Bryan, Asuka, Claudio
- I like the Kazuya changes; little nerf here, little buff there, but mostly unchanged (and the new mini-combo is satisfying)
- I like the Devil Jin new move -- it's an old move from T7, but I like it and he needed it (it's an i13 long-range punish from crouch, and it wallsplats -- Pretty Good)

... do we still need more nerfs for more top tiers? Sure. Does heat still probably need to be toned down a bit? Yeah. But the game is already Pretty Alright, and more patches are coming supposedly.

I wish people wouldn't doom so loudly. It's overdramatic and undignified and scares away the new players.
"Ten/o's Intercontinental Fight Club returns to support the offline FGC"

A little over a week ago, Spooky and the ten/o crew announced the offline-focused reincarnation of the ICFC program. I chatted with him and UltraDavid to learn more.

As an offline TO myself, it was really nice to get more insight into the planning that led to this program, and the details on their current and future plans.

Did you know!! I just learned this, and I have only tried this in the latest patch, but Tekken 8 Devil Jin gets a true +14f if his ws3 hits CH. Which gives you enough time to link an electric for a full launch. Why didn't I know about that?

This is very similar to, but easier than, the famous Kazuya CH df2 pewgf -- you have an extra frame of leniency!

Also speaking of Devil Jin they just gave him the old ws1,4 13f punish from crouch, and I like that quite a lot.
Tekken 8 Season 3 patch!!

... it's ok. Kazuya got touched just a little bit, very minor new move, new CH confirm is possible (and I like it a lot!), and his easy big 13f punish with heat got taken out.

Some of the top tiers got nerfed a little, but I think they could have done a lot more. Maybe they'll keep nerfing them gradually.

The Kazuya CH confirm is! db2 is now significantly faster (the big overhand chop) and on CH you get a guaranteed punt but the timing is tight. They bounce off the ground and it's sick. Easier at the wall.
OKOKOK that's Tekken God #8. Could I do two more before the patch tomorrow? ... mayyyybe but I should sleep.

Anna Williams.
Just took a set off one of the best players in Seattle; this guy's a legend. He's legitimately been one of the best players in NA in previous Tekkens. Seems considerably under-ranked; maybe he hasn't been playing much this past season? But. Here's me taking a set off JustFrameJames, 2-0. This was live on his stream.
Going live in about 8 minutes, we're doing another SECLUDED TRAINING GROUNDS tournament, this time Swiss bracket format!! So come see a bunch of sick Tekken matches! https://www.twitch.tv/teamKandR

K&R are on a team! Mostly it's just R though. Playin' some fighting games, mostly Tekken.
