Oh yeah also today's stream was done on Linux! No problems, really smooth!

Like what do I need, just my games on Steam (work great), OBS (took a little fiddling -- just had to use the flatpak version rather than the deb package), my scoreboard thing TournamentStreamHelper (written in Python anyway) and a web browser to look at Twitch. All that works great on Linux Mint. And eventually Mint will switch to Wayland and it'll be even snappier maybe?

I'm thinking I might just wipe the Windows drive on this computer and just have more space for games.
I did a bunch of run-jabs and run-up grab and also deep jump-in kick into spear into HP,HP,HK,b+HK as Human Smoke -- my ft5 match on stream for VIOLENT SYSTEMS was in UMK3 today -- and I hope @Cano is slightly proud of me?
Going live for VIOLENT SYSTEMS on the WEDNESDAY right now!! https://www.twitch.tv/teamKandR

K&R are on a team! Mostly it's just R though. Playin' some fighting games, mostly Tekken.

@alexr_tk you're talking about @Freddie_PowPow 's video
no yeah building a replacement for fgcharts.com would take me like a day. I've got it mostly prototyped in about 20 minutes. The hardest part here would be curating the list of games to include; you kind of have to decide what's Fighting Game enough to be on the list.
I am actually angry that rooflemonger said "what if they're doing a new Darkstalkers game and that's why vsav is at both EVOs and they have a Hsien-Ko statue; you should treat this as a test of your interest and you'd better sign up to compete at Vampire Savior at EVO so they release the Darkstalkers game".

Maaaaaan. Capcom can't get their stuff together enough to fix SFxT on Steam; they're not going to release a new Darkstalkers.
Maaaan I have too much to do in life and also I want to build a replacement for fgcharts.com because as interesting as those stats are, that site always rubbed me the wrong way and I didn't like the cut of their jib, and now the site's down and the related discord is silent; looks like somebody just forgor and abandoned it.

If I was going to rebuild it, I'd do it super-minimalist. Like a cron job pulls the data and computes a new static site every 10 minutes or something. web2 is overrated; ajax is for scrubs.
I had meant to do the VIOLENT SYSTEMS on the WEDNESDAY from Linux, but didn't manage to get my stream setup all migrated over -- had a little trouble getting OBS & my scoreboard thing to go, but now it seems like it's squared away!

Tekken 8 performance is great on Linux Mint after just a little bit of tuning and I think other games should be fine; that's the most hardware-intensive game I even play... pretty soon I can probably just wipe the Windows partition and do my gamings in Linux. I really like Cinnamon as a UI.

(my GoG games aren't 100% working yet; Warcraft II works great but the other ones need some tweaks... Heroic Games Launcher apparently gets your GoG and Epic Games Store games though, nice!)
Wow huh. Very little fighting game stuff got announced. Right? There was the tuxco character and the Invincible character and... nothing else? Did I miss something?
You could probably imagine what I want for The Game Awards announcements. I want stuff for 3D fighting games. We'll probably get something for Tekken 8 (season 3? maybe a big splash announcement for a character, maybe a guest) -- I want them to mention how S3 will be rebalanced. They might do a big thank-you/send-off/hooray for Katsuhiro Harada -- he's seen the series through a lot, and... Thanks Harada-san <3

Hopefully there's something huge for VF too. VF6 is due for a big announcement.

Getting any kind of anything about Calibur or (hope against hope) DOA?? That would be sick.

You know what I really want of course. And this isn't absurd, considering what they've been doing with rereleases on PSN -- kollections for old Tekkens and old Caliburs.
