𝔻𝔸𝕐 𝕋ℍ𝕀ℝ𝕋𝕐: Originally released on 𝙀𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙚 𝙖 𝙈𝙞 𝙈𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙤 but later slightly remixed & changed to fit her live performance style, it was re-released on 𝘿𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙊𝙛 𝙔𝙤𝙪, 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗼 𝗟𝗮 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿 was the signature Selena song. The song has gone 9x Platinum in the US. Selena would sometimes get tired of performing the song & would sometimes just tell the band to change up the set list because she wasn’t singing it. The song reached number 2 on Billboard's US Hot Latin Songs charts. Her brother, A.B. The label was afraid to release it as a commercial single as they feared it might do better than 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗬𝗼𝘂, the title track to the album. 𝔻𝔸𝕐 𝕋𝕎𝔼ℕ𝕋𝕐-𝔼𝕀𝔾ℍ𝕋: 𝗩𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗼 is the title track for the album 𝙑𝙚𝙣 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙢𝙞𝙜𝙤. This song sometimes gets to me because she sings about how until the day she dies, you’ll always be my love. Chris was already contributing to the music at this point and they secretly were dating. I don’t think the song was specifically for him, but it’s crazy how 5 years later, she would be murdered. My favorite is when she performed it for her 𝙇𝙞𝙫𝙚! album.

𝔻𝔸𝕐 𝕋𝕎𝔼ℕ𝕋𝕐-𝕊𝔼𝕍𝔼ℕ: 𝗘𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗔𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝟱𝟭𝟮 is from Selena’s album, 𝘼𝙢𝙤𝙧 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙝𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙙𝙤. It’s about having a crush on a guy who lives in apartment 512 but is sad to find a girl answering the door. She mistakes the girl for the guy’s girlfriends when in reality it’s his sister. It’s a fun Mexican cumbia with influences of Colombian and South America music. This song was remixed as part of the 𝙀𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙖 𝘿𝙚 𝙏𝙞 remix album. The remix changed the sound to more of a “bouncy” cumbia. #Selena
