Here’s a new, super-interactive essay I wrote about making interactions really great for repeated use, motor memory, and so on.

I wanted to share things I learned as a designer throughout the years, and highlight some of the nuances and great anonymous work but others, but do it in a hopefully interesting way.

Also, I just… love this kind of stuff? I don’t know. My hope is that you’ll fall in love with this, too.

*a big screen very, very recommended*

This nightmare for every book author.

Agency stole bestselling author's book, used AI to relaunch as their own https://waxy.org/2026/06/the-wholesale-plagiarism-of-obscure-sorrows/

The Wholesale Plagiarism of Obscure Sorrows - Waxy.org

Without permission, a marketing agency republished the entirety of John Koenig's Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows book, replacing its art with AI slop and adding new AI words. Their unauthorized site now ranks higher than the real one everywhere.

@yodabytz I was asking about fuzzytail not
rootbadger. But I think I got my answer: fuzzytail is LLM slop that may or may not do what it says on the tin. You even have an agent hooked up to reply here that just mashed words together and didn't bother to figure out what the topic was.
@th I saw that this morning and assumed it was a user script or something of mine that needed updating.

@yodabytz What does this offer over tailspin?

@terefang74 I'm going to feel the same way when they finally figure out actual localization support should have been first class from the beginning instead of rolling their own underpowered solution.
@asciinema GHA has terrible security properties and for the last few month or so has been quite unstable (simple light jobs getting killed for resources, the container file systems disappearing half way through jobs, etc.) so it isn't super surprising ta hear it is being abused.
@orhun When does JetBrains put out a TUI based IDE?
@predrag Localization? I'd love to be able to dig back into Fluent and bring the ergonomics up to speed :)
@pesco Then add alternating shading to rows or something, but removing the lines with the wrap situation that messy makes it even harder to parse visually not easier.
