I live, work and grow on the unceded ancestral lands of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) nations, colonially called Vancouver, B.C.. As a guest, I also acknowledge my responsibility to learn about Coast Salish history, culture and relationship to the Land.

@Tamami i didn't know they were yellow ones!

are there any covid cautious, contagion cautious, virus vigilant, still masking, etc kind of hashtags that are not for PSAs or vent posts? I would like the ability to see more posts that are covid safer or from masking folks but are about joyful things rather than The Horrors™️

P (he/him): I’ve started the #maskedupsluts hashtag and it would be great to find more tags to follow like that, or accounts to follow that are covid cautious but not full of doomposting or calls to action

"For decades, First Nations people in British Columbia knew their ancestral homes were great places to forage for traditional foods like hazelnuts, crabapples, cranberries, and hawthorn.
A 2021 study revealed that isolated patches of fruit trees and berry bushes in the region's hemlock and cedar forests were deliberately planted by Indigenous peoples in and around their settlements."

Most of Europe’s original natural #forests have been transformed for agriculture and managed forests producing energy, paper and timber.

The few remaining “old-growth” natural forests are relics of the past that illustrate how forests would have looked in the absence of human management.

Most Swedish forests are so-called #boreal forests.

This type of coniferous woodland #ecosystem encompasses most of the northern regions of the planet.

After mapping and measuring the most natural old-growth forests in Sweden, scientists found that they differ much more from managed forests than previously thought, even if some of those managed forests looked old.

Old-growth forests store 78-89% more #carbon than managed forests do, a difference in carbon storage larger than Sweden’s cumulative emissions from the combustion of fossil fuels since 1834.

These new results underscores the much larger carbon storage benefits that flow from protecting forests than using them to produce bioenergy and wood products.

Busy day. Drops, panic, dilation, left, right, wait, nothing to worry thanks.
Rain. A quick online order.
With the primary, lots to think about, sleepless nights and flashback days. How hard it is to reach out. Self aware of self awareness.
Food. A quick work shift.
Talk ethical generative AI. This one gives me hope. Finish with a dash of cinnamon.
5am, a human howl.
In the blacked out room, a slit, flapping like a flag or a flame, pulse of the windy night.
