My first Hackintosh machine from 2020 has served-out its purpose as hMac and it’s now a rather powerful gaming PC.

Changed the motherboard to ROG Strix B550-I which has enough connectors so that all of that front I/O can actually work (a rare thing for that gen).
Still loving the look of the NCASE M1 case, truly a classic gem now.

I am finding Xcode Agentic code UI quite good, I love how it marks up code inline, you can follow smaller changes in real time as they are done, in the code files directly. Really good stuff.

Another good stuff is that agent internal thinking is revealed. I find it good read and often amusing as I recognize those a-ha! moments :)

First IKEA Alex drawer modified for full extension. First pic shows the difference.

Cut a groove to allow the slides to glide a bit using 3D printed groove cover. The retaining screw is placed inside small insert so it glides nicely and prevents the trash wood IKEA uses from chipping.

There’s noticeable friction when the gliding starts but nothing that hinders opening and closing. Having the last 1/4 of the drawer perfectly accessible is more than worth it.

Situations where 3D printer comes very handy.

I managed to drop Nuki Smart Lock Pro 4 – multiple times – and last time battery pack flew out and broke its retaining plastic tab. So now I had (still) perfectly working lock without the ability to keep the battery in it.

One stupid simple model and print later and problem solved. This ghastly orange is my go to test filament.

This makes me so happy: I modded IKEA Nordli drawers to full extension using replacement slides. I’ve seen people do this with Blum 560H slides but those are 29€ while I found equivalent model from GTV for ~11€. 400mm model fits into original cabinet screw holes; I only needed to adjust back side connection and that was it.

So I have now added woodworking to the list of hobbies. 👨🏻‍🔧

I realized in recent years that USA political system is something entirely unique: a 4-year revolving absolutist monarchy. It was masquerading as democracy with rule of law while most players pretended to play by the rules. Once someone who does not give a shit came along, the facade fell down and revealed all the checks and balances do not exist.

Jack Smith’s investigation being instantly dismantled once Krasnov got re-elected was final proof, as far as I needed.

LG’s TVs have Ethernet ports but their mobile app devs apparently never used it.
It seems I can’t add it to ThinQ app at all. What nonsense this is.
Heh, good luck with those prices. 🙂‍↔️

I had iOS automatic updates off since August. Just now, my iPhone asked me if I want to install downloaded 26.1 now or later.
So I went to Settings and found this.

Are they remotely enforcing this download now…or it has always been like this? Liquid Grime is the first iOS I actively avoid so I never got to this point in major version lifecycle.
