I was fortunate to meet and spend a portion of the event with 2025 EXTRAordinary Woman Award recipient Mitzi Carrasquillo, founder of Loved, Healed, and Restored, a community partner and outreach resource for individuals healing from childhood sexual abuse and rape. As a Victim Advocate she aids and supports victims of sexual assault, and speaks publicly, using her own lived experiences to promote sexual assault awareness.

It was a packed evening of #networking, #speakers, and #music and spoken #word performances. The #energy among the tremendous collective of powerful and influential women was palpable.

Still pondering an odd dream: I’ve got a living horse decoration. It’s like a pet—yet not?—and similar to a weasel or ermine but has no legs. It cradles easily in the arms and squirms naturally to get comfortable. The decorative being (?) is employed during horse displays to enhance the tail. Specifically, the entire horse tail is stuffed into the mouth and body of the entity, leaving only the decoration dangling.
Is the dream a result of these weird product ads seen earlier in the day?
Had such a good time earlier this month enjoying the events and festivities of the #ActorAwards presented by SAG-AFTRA on #Netflix I didn’t realize this photo was taken. Thanks to the historic Somerville Theatre for hosting. 🍿 (So glad to have my coat to wear as a blanket 🥶)

The #film #nerd in me wants to correct that #academyawards error. It’s “splendored”, not “splendid”. The #movie’s title is Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing.
As I watch the Academy Awards, I’m pleased for the nominees and winners, but I cannot help but wonder: how was The Testament of Ann Lee, directed by Mona Fastvold, not nominated for *a single* award? It’s truly a gorgeous #film and I encourage everyone to see it in theatres — because it’s shot in widescreen!
(And I’m not saying this because I was fortunate to work on this #movie.)
