And before you ask:
"Can I haxorz my bank account to be xyz" ?

No. The #answer is #SystemOfRecord (s)

aka "OneSingularTruth"
https://www.computerweekly.com/de/definition/System-of-Record-SOR
https://veengu.com/system-of-record-for-fintech/
https://aerospike.com/glossary/system-of-record/

My old #economy teacher could not answer this question once iirc.
But then again.
Most people don't care...

A system of record (SOR) is a data management term for a high-priority information storage and management system. It serves as the authoritative data source for mission-critical information. This is important when data comes from different source systems, is reprocessed, and then used again.

Systems of record are also codified by government agencies like the US General Services Administration, which defines systems of record as: “Systems of records – a system of record is a group of records from which information is retrieved by the name of an individual, or by any number, symbol, or other unique identifier assigned to that individual.”

A system of record (SOR) can be critical when different organizations rely on the same piece of information (for a customer, product, address, etc.) to avoid incorrect analyses or interpretation of that data. An agreed system of record requires that the data elements must be linked to, or extracted directly from, an authoritative source.

A #transaction needs to validated properly to go through and will be "recorded" on multiple systems.
Even if you were to falsify just the value you did not go through the means to validate it.
It will not matter then.

Pretty nifty.

People might be lazy on many fronts. But when it comes to their assets, suddenly its tooth and nail.
Has always been, will always be.

Boring. No wonder we are not making much progress at all.....

Was ist System of Record (SOR)? - Definition von Computer Weekly

Ein System of Record (SOR) stellt sicher, dass die zentral gespeicherten Informationen auch bei mehren Datenquellen stets auf dem aktuellen Stand sind.

We are #bundesbank . We store data in the most reliable format ..

Maybe my #banking app is boring to me..

And I want my own

I wonder if bank 's can ban your #account for logging in via your own methods ....

#FinTS huh ...

What scares me is all those #api services that exist as ""middlemen""

#Banking can be #scary ...

@alcea Yes! Mastodon since v4.5 has async remote reply fetching, meaning that when looking at the comments of an external post your instance can (and will) contact the external server in the background to fetch new replies.

If new replies are found, they are ingested into mastodon and you will get a small notification at the bottom of indicating there are new replies, with a refresh button.

In the past, you would simply just not see comments your instance didn't run into through it's normal federation pathways, but this is now a thing of the past.

Guess contacting Anjok07 is about as hard as contacting me..
No mail. No Messenger. No ContactForm..

Someone asked me about #troubleshooting checkpoint/weights loading on uvr ..

But .. on #MacOS ..

@alcea Yupp, trust Google. The one running googleapis.com, where you can find your daily scam. They marked us once more for an APK their own scanner marks clean. See https://gitlab.com/-/snippets/4909577 for more details.

And always keep in mind: that's the actor that wants to define which apps are safe for you to install on your Android devices, and disable you from installing the others. Because, security, you know?

And here's the VT for the app you got red for: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/966dd1ee9e2b83e5f8854c0520f794788adf461a918bfd4e545ffd79418946ac/detection/f-966dd1ee9e2b83e5f8854c0520f794788adf461a918bfd4e545ffd79418946ac-1756499291 – all green

Guess its time to say goodbye to #imgbb

Is images seemingly error out for no reason
Lets use #postimg from now on.
