Just switched to metatext thanks @ruchowdh and @axbom 🙏🏾

Home and Federated timelines are cleaner and much easier to navigate than the native app. Delete & retract is a great feature in Metatext.

Seeing a lot more familiar faces from the 🐦 app on here which is great!

Really good wholesome 🧵. One from which we can all learn 👇🏾

So my son lost his AirPods. He says they were stolen out of his bag at school. We look on Find my Devices and they are a few miles away. We see them move around, then return to the same house. Lots of teachable moments here for my son so let’s go. Call the cops? Bust in on them?

The reporting about @bluesky the past week or so has been atrociously wrong. And the article going around claiming to correct the atrocious reporting is... perhaps even worse?

@mmasnick @Viss it's definitely TWTR...lollll

Over the last few days a bunch of folks who just signed up for Twitter accounts have made a whole bunch of hilariously wrong assumptions about me, and it's been... kinda funny to watch it all play out.

It does take too much time to block idiots though.

So Musk is laying off people *today* at Twitter to try to get them out before Tuesday when many of them have huge bonuses scheduled.

Except... California requires 60 days notice for such layoffs, and he's going to get destroyed in court. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/10/29/technology/twitter-layoffs-musk-jobs.html

Elon Musk Is Said to Have Ordered Job Cuts Across Twitter

The billionaire planned to begin layoffs as soon as Saturday, people with knowledge of the matter said.

Lolllllll....👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I was one of the Tesla engineers sent to review Twitter’s code, and what I saw horrified me. Unsecured prod hosts. Backbone hacked together in PHP. A single mainframe in the basement of twitter HQ called "Mother" that printed its own source code in arcane characters
