Building on the foundation established in the 2023 season, which examined how technology engenders material processes that outpace our perceptive capacities – producing fictions and anxieties akin to those of conspiratorial delirium – the upcoming edition takes a step back to reconsider life itself as a complex chronological formation in need of broad epistemic reevaluation. “Matter dwells, burrowing into innate states where value fails to latch onto life. Does that render it meaningless? Perhaps. Yet, not without freeing it from the conceptual underpinnings that make it vulnerable to the consuming passions and teleological aims of capital and history. Shedding its metaphysical baggage, matter vacates symbolic space, only to return emboldened with untethered vitality, its expanded form one of uninhibited potential and growth.”
