Interested in: te reo Māori, citizenship, quality teaching practices, science, Pokémon — here for the bird/cat/dog/landscape photos, the silly polls, and the social digestion of the news of the day.

Caught the end of mistletoe season here in NZ! A wonderful start to the New Year 🦜
My backyard bird friend is here! Please enjoy 🐦‍⬛ I could listen to his radar pings for hours. Such a clever little guy ☺️ He likes to sit at the tippity-top of this wattle tree.
Bonus Post! 🤩
Day 99 & 100 of #100DaysOfPractice
Some fantastic social media content to sign off with… it’s been a blast. The journey continues but, alas, this thread will not - it’s barely hanging in there. Thank you for all the support.
Day 97 & 98 of #100DaysOfPractice
I’ve been trying to add to this lengthy thread for a few days. Possibly too many images to keep going much longer? Yesterday was a Kōrerorero app practice day - will attempt to load a screenshot.
Today was a te reo Māori teaching day! I’m preparing my colleagues for using te reo Māori confidently in their classrooms. We made short videos of conversations today, using a greeting, a statement, a question, and a farewell. They all did fantastically, of course!
Day 96 of #100DaysOfPractice
A sweet story about the simple things in life, like, how to choose outdoor clothing when you don’t have access to the weather report…
Day 95 of #100DaysOfPractice
It is Rongo app AND Kōrerorero app practice day! Also this week, I got to make an ukutangi! That’s a small clay sphere, hollow with a small hole. It can be played by gently blowing over the hole to make a gentle whistling sound.
Day 94 of #100DaysOfPractice
Part two of our story and Nan’s first experience with the wonders of the drive-through…
Day 93 of #100DaysOfPractice
First half of a longer story today! I’ve also been trying an app called Kōrerorero - so far it is great for for listening and working with common phrase sentence structures.
