We may have to abandon this toxic corporate run "global" Internet and build our own local, neighbourhood, mesh networks using network stacks other than the familiar TCP/IP which are designed for a global network (eg reticulum) and connect those local networks with each other, first via I2P over the internet, until we have our own physical direct connections
