I'm happy about the homelab i've built with limited time and resources.
Today I'm hosting:
- k8s and swarm clusters
- a private ci/cd
- opendns, fulcrum, bitcoin core nodes
- android and lmde remote desktops
- wireguard vpn hub with sock5 proxies
- security camera network
Running on 21 vms and lxc based on 5 nodes and protected by pfsense firewall and pve micro-segmentation.
Why I've built all of this ? Just by passion. What a shame companies are not able to motivate me like that !

Internet censorship is a racket - coming soon to an authoritarian government near you:

Corruption and Control: How Turkmenistan turned internet censorship into a business | Tor Project

In Turkmenistan, one of the most isolated regimes in the world, internet censorship has evolved beyond surveillance and control. In an Orwellian twist, the people blocking access to the internet are the same ones secretly selling it back, at a price most Turkmens can't afford.

@shinglyu yes, great, I like that idea and I would like to participate to such a project.. Lets imagine the new aish shell (in replacement of bash) :

```
aish $ free some disk space
Okay, how much space do you need ?
aish $ 5GB
You need sudo to do that
aish $ comon do it and stop bother me
Okay done!
aish $
```

:-D

@ptz I think it just depends on your needs, I usually enable zram on nodes with high memory usage. It also depends on the way you see swap. Some want to avoid it at all and others want to rely on it. In my experience, zram was useful to achieve huge blockchains initial synchronizations which need very high memory usage near the end of the synch process.
I've just configured an electrum node (direct connection, no tor), around 65 peers are connected. I can access to my wallet from my computer or my phone with this server, well everything seem to be fine but no clients are connected... (except my own devices), is it normal ? My server is announcing himself and connected to many peers, shall I have to register somewhere ? Or just wait some days/weeks ?

@robby_seventeen indeed LXC containers are lighter than vms, they suite well for a lot of cases. They have some limitations due to the shared kernel, mounting points and containers that are not supported (docker/k8s) so you can't create an orchestrated cluster. But that's fine for fault tolerance cluster like NLBs. The main advantage is the lower cost of resources from my point of view

Yes delivery is a big challenge, but this it is not related to mailcow only.
