"If you see fraud, and you don't say fraud, you are a fraud." N.N. Taleb

Finally, a bio. Here are a list of interests/rabbit holes:
#comics #rpgs #sf #physics #literature #environmentalism #music #politics #anti-deathpenalty #law #photography #computers #film and that subset is all before I turned 40. Careerwise, in the last 20 years I've worked for a telecom and an insurance company in increasingly nerdy areas. #infosec is a relatively recent interest but here I am. I can't even list all the other rabbit holes I've been down. Hundreds of topics I am at least marginally informed about, can use the jargon for, semi-intelligently. I doomscroll. I also attempt to do a little creative writing. If I can do it playfully I'll be happy! Of course there's nothing playful about extinction, climate change, or any of the other impacts of human activities on life on this planet. Where's your habitat, human? #physicalmedia #negativeshelfspace #yourallyifyoullacceptme

@Wyrdwyzard @buffyleigh @flockofnazguls And I'm a huge fan of the earlier Prince material. Controversy thru Graffiti Bridge. So I'm including soundtracks obvsly. Parade is so good!
@substandardnerd @flockofnazguls Oh Junkies, for sure!
@SHODAN just do it!
@pbump Billions of dollars we're invested in right wing media, think tanks, ads, corruption and graft since the 70s. And it's paid off because they told the suckers what they wanted to hear.
@JamesGleick There's a good market argument for 20 year copyrights, trademarks, and other similar publishing exclusivity, but we also need a check on publishers having the right to alienate creatives their rights to what they created after that time. All rights should automatically devolve to the creators after 20 years regardless of contract terms. There should be a federal enforcement provision so a private citizen can get support to enforce those rights.
@MostlyHarmless For each corporate or rich sponsor a branded ball and chain they get to drag around.
@Livingmarble Republicans would beat Scoob to it.
@lauren Liar's Club for Men.
@GossiTheDog and with those numbers they're going to pay off how many billions a month in capital costs, fees and fines?
@w7voa So long as the public sector doesn't fund it, in advance or in retrospect, or guarantee any loans, and no public sector agrees to waive safety reviews and public comments, this thing will never fly. It's only through direct subsidy and waving away decommissioning and waste disposal costs that project like this become reality.
