@alyssam_infosec I have the same issues and DID find myself instructing at the race track (free track time for instructors!), which gave me the confidence to start presenting in IT, which has evolved into being 90% of my job. Hobby was ruined, but career changed for the better. Yay?

I've ruined lots of other expensive hobbies by exposing myself to their political spectrums and false obligations. The second other people start to depend on you and you believe in that dependency, all the fun is gone.

@ravirockks lol @ "Privacy Impact Assessments" in the trough: I just presented that concept 2 weeks ago to 2 separate groups that had never heard of them, and yet 4 US states are set to mandate them next year!
Wait, is _that_ where Digital Ethics is supposed to be?
@fabian_bader I'm gonna guess those CA policy audits for IPv6 are only the first part of the job, and that "further guidance" will be published on keeping them working without massive exceptions lists.
