Faced with the return of rule of law after the 2026 US mid-term elections, billionaire Peter Thiel has begun negotiations with federal prosecutors for immunity. In exchange, he has reportedly offered to use Palantir technology to identify Trump supporters for persecution.
When it was explained to Thiel that this is not how rule of law works, he offered a premium deportation option to sweeten the deal.
We need only look to the gang-land violence and government corruption that alcohol prohibition caused in the US (1920-1933), and how quickly it evaporated after the legalisation of alcohol. Yes, some people become alcoholics. Yes, some people die from drunk driving. But these problems are seen as manageable in comparison to prohibition.
