Film photography and printing. Former software engineer trying to find a new way. http://anders.conbere.org/photography

@areitz @anders Possible! I have so few people I follow / followers I’ll just do it by hand :)

Hi all! I'm migrating my mastodon presence to a new server as part of my desire to move to smaller tighter knit online communities. You can find me at [email protected]

I'll try to post a couple more times here to make sure everyone gets notified.

Attached: 4 images Hello all! Recent immigrant from mastodon.social (I’ll need to figure out more about what that means). I’m a black and white photographer and print maker. I post a lot about the process of restoring old cameras, using them to make film images, and then printing those images in my home darkroom. I am also a former software developer who is trying to figure out a new way to be. #introductions

@neauoire I have read the rules and enthusiastically agree. :)
@Jim_Graves Loaded it up with film yesterday! I’ve used this combo a number of times to patch up pinholes, the only part I’m not quite sure about is if the application will solve my “fibers on my film” issue (but I’m hopeful).
@neauoire what are the chances I could move my account to merveilles.town’s server?
I’m planning to do a lot more UV printing this year. So I made a little hood for my UV lamp. It’ll at least keep the UV from bouncing around my house, but hopefully it will also help me eke out a couple more minutes of exposure time!

This welta weltur is a great 6x4.5 folder. But after I got it working last summer it still spit little fibers all over my film. The bellows are pretty old and worn and I think the insides are just starting to fall apart.

Tonight I’m trying painting the inside with a dilute mixture of acrylic paint and elmer’s glue to see if I can get the fabric to stabilize.

noticed infinity was off on my Mamiya Universal this weekend. I was out of town and so focused on the ground glass instead. But today was an opportunity to adjust the focus.

One of the nice things about these cameras is that they are really very simple. Infinity focus adjustment was a 20 minute procedure (including some clean up) and maybe another 20 min to ensure all the lenses were set correctly.
