🇪🇺 European Digital Independence leaps forward
Great sovereign news from France: the Interministerial Digital Directorate of France (DINUM) announced on 8 April 2026 that it will migrate workstations from Windows to Linux and require ministries to plan the removal of non-European digital dependencies by autumn 2026.
The European movement towards digital independence has taken a huge step forward and digital independence is within reach—Finnish companies are ready. Jolla is a proud supporter of the Digital Independence citizen’s initiative in Finland, read more here

Vibe coding is making it possible for people with very little experience to build apps. QML on #sailfishos is simple enough to support that, but the cross-platform packaging side with the SDK is still pretty tricky.
So I put this together:

Install into the Codex home of your IDE, and it will know how to build and package your apps using Coderus' brilliant dockerized SDK. Hopefully it lowers the barrier a bit and helps more people turn their ideas into real apps.

Updated my #sailfishos port of the #FOSSASIA Badge Magic app to support sending multiple badges. You can either let them play in a slideshow, or cycle through them with the second button on the badge. Rudimentary animation!
