@perdido ha, that's incredible. They do eat grass!

It's been a rough day, but learning that "Capybara" literally translates to "water pig" in English has made it better.

Se estás vendo unha web no móbil e a «compartes» con #Capyreader , esta vai buscar as canles #rss que inclúa e ofréceche subscribirte a elas

And I thought Twitch comment streams were chaotic. Just proof that there are still unique UI patterns out there to explore.

Danmaku subtitling - Wikipedia

I always wondered if google killing the greader service was due to ad revenue of websites. Bit confused why the article doesnt mention #capyreader and #freshrss as far as im concerned thats how you want to manage your rss feeds in 2026.

RSS dulls the pain of the modern web

opinion: Feeds are alive, well, and can help deshittify things

The Register

good article by Cory Doctorow ( @pluralistic ) on using #RSS and generally making the web bearable (with some historical context)

https://pluralistic.net/2026/03/07/reader-mode/

(And I indeed read Doctorow's blog post on using RSS via my rss backend #Miniflux, using the wonderful Capyreader app (@_jocmp ) as the frontends on Android/GrapheneOS - and indeed on a black background with white text in a pleasant font (Vollkorn - http://vollkorn-typeface.com/ - one of Capyreader's built in options).

@emacsomancer @pluralistic vollkorn is also my go-to!
@banshee7076 RSSHub allows you to create feeds that wouldn't exist otherwise. Self-hosting it means I can avoid putting more load on public instances.

I started self-hosting RSSHub to use with Threads and it works great. How did I sleep on this for so long?

"Coding’s the easy part — making a useful app that people like is the challenge and is such a reward when it works." True now more than ever.
