After dropping my key fob into lots of pieces, the buttons on the circuit board weren’t making contact with the plastic buttons on the case, making all my functions useless. Fortunately for my wallet, the holes happened to fit the eraser end of a BIC pencil. Woot!

USC law students have started a hotline called Agents of Change that will help immigrants complete and submit a “Motion to Change Hearing Format” to help move immigration hearings online. They can help in English or Spanish. Let’s go Trojans!
In the bsky thread I found this on, folks were actively discussing self-defense and firearm training for vulnerable members of our communities. That is, in fact, the community I intended to serve when I started teaching. I’m heartened by other combatives instructors who heed the call.

Ah here we go.. ICE doing I-9 investigation at one of Peter Chang’s restaurants in DC. They left with no one because staff did not allow them entry into the kitchen.
Legitimately had a lovely time at @DistrictCon today. The cyberpunk mood lighting, inspired (forcibly) by the hotel’s power outage all day today.
The more often I teach self-defense and attempt to address general safety in my community, the more I come to this. It’s pathetic to only address violence at the tail end of the attack chain.
