On the cusp of my post from yesterday outlining my descent into #amatureradio rabbit holes, any #hamradio elmers got suggestions for a stealthy 10M base station antenna? HOA would throw a fit about anything too wild or obvious. Current available options are a random wire in the back yard or setting up my hamstick when I feel like operating, both of which are less than permanent.

NEW: Using a Flipper Zero, a security researcher has demonstrated that anyone can flood nearby iPhones with annoying and persistent pop-ups.

Researchers says this can be used as a "prank," but also effectively as a denial of service.

A lot of my more militant mentors from my time in labor organizing are approaching retirement, and it's sobering hearing them talk about how much the ability to flee the country quickly factors into their planning.

Because of the possibility/likelihood of complete fascist takeover.

It's not "if Trump wins, I'll go to Canada" bluster.

These are seasoned, experienced, and high-ranking organizers making major financial decisions about their lives and futures.

I have an on and off relationship with impostor syndrome.
In my experience the most vulnerable moment when it comes to developing impostor syndrome is starting work on a new project or with a new team.
Everyone knows all the acronyms, projects and internal slang. Newcomers feel out of place and may start thinking that there's something wrong with their knowledge.
At these times it's good to remind yourself that you also have a unique experience, which is different to people in the same room. And this is a very good thing.
