Just participated in my first ever live #BeatSaber community event - RSIH.

It was good fun and the maps were a visual and audio treat! Absolutely not suitable for people who are photosensitive or easily disorientated in VR. The whole thing seemed to go off without a hitch and it was one-click to install all of the necssary mods and components.

I was not playing at my peak, and fluffed up some easy bits. Still, I narrowly avoided failing any of the songs, Full Combo'd one and missed a FC on another by 2 notes. Ended up finishing in the middle of the leaderboard, which was nice.

Eagerly awaiting the songs' release on #BeatSaver so I can grab them to play at my leisure. Looking forward to the next event, whenever that may be!

The #Prodigy DLC dropped for #BeatSaber the other day so ofc I had to get it.

The bad:
Only 6 songs. Compared to the Monstercat 2 DLC which has 12 or so, that feels stingy especially when you consider the sheer number of hits they've had over the years. I wonder if it's because they're holding back for a second DLC at some point.

The good:
It's pretty good fun. The songs are all on the longer side and the environments and lightshows are epic. It's built with the OST8 tech of finer-grained walls and variable note jump speed, and some of the songs use these for great evil...

I can finally play Firestarter, Yes That One. (No shade to OST5.)
FC'd it first try on Hard too. I'll try Expert tomorrow!

OST8 dropped for #beatsaber on #pcvr today!*

It's a lot of fun, and visually the best one yet. It's 6 tracks like the last 4 were but they're all pretty varied in terms of difficulty and style. It's got Camellia, Dragonforce, Lindsay Sterling and Teminite x Boom Kitty who have been my consistent faves since OST 4.

The new mechanics gimmick was the one teased in the free song we got earlier in the year - Danger by Teminite x Boom Kitty: Variable note speed. And oh boy, does The Master make use of it for pure evil in his sequel track.

For a brief, beautiful moment I was #1 and K was #2 on the leaderboard for the Lindsay Sterling song (see pic). I bet that lasted all of 5 minutes.

*It dropped for other platforms last week but AMD's latest crashfest driver update delayed the launch while it got fixed. AMD can't seem to avoid stepping on obvious rakes...

This was the best food van of my whole trip to #Norway - not just a funny name. Buns n' Roses in Kristiansand.

Yes, the guys running it had Guns N' Roses (among other bands) playing on some speakers.

Final animal pics from the zoo trip in #Norway and its some #Capybara pups and a mama #Lynx with her cub!

Weird and cool #amphibians in #Norway time!

A couple of bright Green & Black Poison Dart Frogs, and an Axolotl.

Part 4 of #Lizards in #Norway with bonus #Snake (because my pics of the Giant Day Gecko have vanished 😭).

A young Mossy Gecko and an old Reticulated Python, not in the same enclosure.

Part 3 of #Lizards I saw at Kristiansand Dyreparken in #Norway

Here's a couple of varanids, which are what you'd get if you wanted a cat, BUT LIZARD! A blue tree monitor and two (yes, really) black monitors.

Part 2 of lizards in #Norway surprise #snake edition.

We have a cinnamon roll of a rattlesnake chilling under a hollow log, and a stunning green tree python in the traditional ambush pose on a branch.

It's time for some weird cool #Lizards in #Norway Part 1! We visited the Kristiansand Dyrepark and it had a little terrarium building.

This was the nifty Fiji Banded Iguana they had. Such an excellent little lizard.
