TPWatched another #TED talk a couple of days ago, talking about ways to make flying more climate-friendly.

Titled, "3 ways to make flying more climate-friendly", Ryah Whalen reminds us of the reality of #ClimateChange and the #ClimateEmergency that is happening right now, which is caused by us and the companies and governments around us.
She points out that aviation accounts for 2% of global CO2 emissions. So in a hypothetical example of never ever flying (and no postage/deliveries over plane etc.), we would reduce CO2 emissions by 2% in this scenario.
Yet, ignoring the elephant (or should I say, #cow) in the tarmac, is the fact that the animal agriculture industry causes 14.5% of global CO2 emission (see: https://www.aspca.org/news/feeling-heat-factory-farming-and-climate-change ).
Yet people would rather sacrifice not going on a holiday than skipping a bucket of KFC #chicken wings and thighs? Why is that? 🤔
On a personal, individual level, there is a quicker way, a cheaper way, an easier way to #SaveThePlanet. And that is to #goVegan!
Don't get me wrong, using biofuels on your private jet for the #cop27 meeting, or attending via zoom might be helpful too. But only if the food on your flight, or your fridge, is #vegan too! 🌱
