David ChartierI appreciate the new, more verbose permission dialog in #iOS17, when apps ask for access to your data like calendars and contacts.
Notice the user-educational text about how calendar items can contain sensitive data like locations, emails, and notes. Good improvement.

RyanILM Stagecraft (virtual production) started on The Mandolarian in 2018 using Unreal Engine 4.20. Since then they've written their own renderer, Helios, to tailor it to their workflows. Uses real time raytracing. Favors area lights. Does real time color correction - 324 profiles unique to LED, camera, and lens combo. Needs to handle physical and virtual motion blur and depth of field.

This week was my last week at my job of the past year and a half, and the team presented me with an beautiful ceramic raven bowl designed by Nuxalk & Nuu-chah-nulth First Nation artist Kelly Robinson.
