The best time of year to get kiln dried wood for you wood burner delivered is in the summer when it’s half price because no one wants it.
The worse time to get it delivered is on the rainiest day of the year!

Harvested this beauty last night. It seems to have sprung up a just two days. The label in the plant I bought read All Green Bush courgette. Not altogether sure it was correctly labelled! This message from my foster daughter is possibly the best message we’ve ever received from her.
I’ve never before met such a determined, resilient, hard working and just truly amazing young lady as her.
I have no doubt she will continue on her life path with the same attitude she showed to get to and finish university and will have a huge impact in her chosen career as a social worker.
I'm a rather fat feathery owl called sage,
I'm not at all happy in fact in a rage,
it's bad enough having ones home all upset,
but to make matters worse all my feathers are wet.
One of the tawny owlets from the box in our garden has made it to the apple tree. We think this may be 3 of 3 but are not sure.
How lucky are we to have this beautiful lady roosting in our garden, keeping an eye on her nest box in the tree?
She has three owlets on the verge of branching.
My sister is currently visiting from Italy and we’ve had a few days sorting out my allotment.
