How’s that for random?

Back on the river. First SUP since Tahoe - quite a different scene, but the vibes are still good šŸ¤™šŸ½ šŸŒž

Honestly, posting is helping me stick with this challenge, so I'm staying with it.

For day 10/100 (yeah!) of #the100dayproject, I wrote 1051 words, when I felt like writing ZERO. It's the small wins...

519 words for Day 9/100 of #the100dayproject, in which one of my characters attempts to tell his life story in 3 minutes (that's about 450 words).
Oops – I posted that yesterday was day 6, but it was day 7, making this day 8/100 of #The100DayProject, and 300 words written. Yay!

But still, I write. Not a lot – I finally got word that a project I pitched was accepted (I feared it wouldn’t be, which is why I decided to spend 100 days on this novel). But the schedule is tight!

I’m still committed to finishing this novel, even if it is one sentence at a time.

For now, they’re still in that booth. 😊

A much more productive Day 6/100 for #The100DayProject with 900 words written. The scene takes place in a diner, my two protagonists sitting across from each other in a booth like this, plotting their next time-travel move. (And maybe falling in love?)

Day 6/100 of #The100DayProject was spent editing. I know I should wait until I am ā€œdoneā€ with a complete first draft, but my brain was having a hard time focusing (I just received word that a work proposal was accepted and I am quite excited). So something was better than nothing.

Just an accountability post today. (And a picture of a bouquet of flowers I found tossed against a wall on my morning wall. I bet there’s a story there…hopefully not too tragic).

The WDW Princess Half Marathon took place today. I didn’t run it; rather, I was home procrastinating writing and doom scrolling (as usual).

So for day 5/100 I managed to write 300 words. And I’m sharing my ā€œjumpā€ picture from the time I did run this race back in 2017 (feels like forever ago)!

1100 words written for day 4/100 of #The100DayProject after many hours of procrastinating.

I am using this question, from ā€œThe Book of Questionsā€ in a conversation between my two main characters. I think it’s such an interesting way to learn about someone; both what they want to know, and in what direction (past or future, inward or outward) they are most curious 😊.

Day 3/100 of #The100DayProject was 900 words for a scene that I realized today is the reason I have stalled on this project. It is a ā€œfalling in loveā€ scene, but I’ve never written one before. Stories I’ve written only ever included people already in love, or falling out of it. This is such a challenge.

Anyways, this is a picture of my Daruma doll, who has been waiting since 2019 for me to finish this and give him his eye 😳. Fingers crossed it happens soon!!

Day 2/100 of #The100DayProject was spent pouring over my outline. This is a time-travel story, but the time jumps are just year to year so it’s been a challenge to make sure all the small details work.

Rather than posting a picture of that mess (šŸ˜‚), I am sharing a key image from my ā€œinspirationā€ file for this story. Taken at the break of dawn on a trail near my home, where I’ve run, hiked, and walked many many magical miles.
