In this fraught time, I would like to share a little good news.
After seven months of medical hell, I thought I'd lost my creative spark. That the capacity to write and fall in love with characters had left me.
But I just started writing my next novel.
I'm not saying they should remake The Princess Bride. But in showing it to my little nephew, I recalled that it ends on the kid asking Peter Falk to read to him again, and Falk knowingly saying, "As you wish."

As part of my book tour, I'll be at Huxley & Hiro in Wilmington, Delaware on July 16th! So excited to finally visit that store in person. Delaware peeps, might I see you in July?
More news to come!
It's no secret that I've been terribly sick for over half a year. During that time, I've received some wonderful emails from readers. But until recently, I've been too out of sorts to be able to reply.
Now I wonder. Would they want a reply six months later? A year later?
After seven months of medical hell, I am able to exercise again. It feels great.
Two months ago, it was hard to just walk into the doctor's office.
Tonight, I did half a mile on the elliptical.
Onward, fellow babies.
