@Sun_Ultra10 I've never attempted a recap project in my life. I haven't soldered anything in 30 years, either, though I used to be decent at one point.
Is there a service I can send these boards to, or should I attempt it myself? Thanks.
@Sun_Ultra10 Good luck. I’ve just resurrected an SE as well, and while it ran ok for a bit, the screen starts to 'shimmer' and there's a whine when it's been under load a bit. I think it needs an analog board recap, but haven't dug into it any further yet. I've worked on all manner of old systems, but the compact Macs eluded me til recently. Still learning.
