Interested in video games, coffee, tech, and 30 year old TVs

PNW folks like @cabel might remember "The Mac Store" which was an Apple Reseller in the area that was part of a larger business called "Computer Stores NW" that also owned the web store "PowerMax" hosted at powermax.com but uh... what is going on there at that domain? Most of the links don't really do anything; they work, but are blank pages. The articles under "reviews" though seem to clearly be SEO spam. Is that the whole game? Maybe my ad-blocker prevents me from knowing.
A little Gex on PS1 via S-video on JVC TM-H1375SU for this #scanlinesunday
Credit where it's due - they responded, and not half bad.
I just sent this to the hiring manager on LinkedIn:
I'm doing a little bit of light job searching, just seeing what kind of raise potential i can get and I applied to one today that did not list salary range, but upon applying sent me an email informing me that they expected me to take a *45 minute assessment* before they will review my application. This is the details for the assessment before you start:
This guy in dragon quest 3 is a little freak
@gruber i have your first TV! Bought it off a guy in the Portland, OR area a few years ago and modded it for RGB input (I’m a retro games sicko)
Little bit worse for wear since 1999, but looks excellent!

I recently got an XTEink X4 ereader and it's awesome. It's tiny, *only* does books, and snaps to the back of my phone with magsafe. I've been reading a lot more because it's so easy to whip out and start reading rather than look to doom scroll on my phone.

seen here: @pluralistic 's Enshittification. I bought it DRM free from bookshop.org and loaded it directly on the XTEink.
